Snoring

Fortunately there are several things you can do to reduce snoring.

Start with a good mattress

Sleeping on the back has been proven to increase the frequency and intensity of snoring. An old bed can have hills and valleys that cause you to roll onto your back at night.  So one way to alleviate snoring from your life is to make sure your mattress provides adequate support for the back to align the spine and keep the neck in a better position.

The new visco elastic memory foam mattresses are particularly good at preventing sagging and swaying.  They conform to your body, allowing you to get comfortable as you fall asleep and then stay that way all night.  The material in the visco elastic mattresses is firm enough to be supportive, but soft enough for comfort.

Next take a look at your pillow

Once you know that your mattress is the right one for you, check out your pillow. A pillow that flattens to the thickness of a pancake is not doing your neck any good. In addition, the dust mites that live in old bedding and pillows can cause your allergies to act up. This in turn can cause snoring to be worse.  We recommend you change your pillow once every 12 months.
