Disposing of your old Mattress

Don’t give your mattress away to relatives or friends, and avoid moving it to the guest room. If it’s not good enough for you, it’s not good enough for anyone else! When you consider that your mattress has soaked up nearly a litre of your sweat every night and half a kilogram of dead skin every year, it’s likely that you’ll want to be rid of it in a hurry!

Here’s how:

• We will arrange to pick up your old mattress once your new bed has arrived*, so you will not be left without a bed under any circumstances. *This applies only to on-line purchases and is not available in-store.
• You can be assured that by buying from Clerys you have chosen a company who recognise the importance of appropriate disposal of old mattresses.
• Unfortunately it is not possible to recycle beds in Ireland. There are no incinerators, so all our old beds go to landfill. Clerys is currently investigating other more environmentally friendly international options.
