What's the difference between a divan and a bedstead?

Divans

A divan set is made up of a bed base with a mattress on top of it. Divan sets may come with or without storage options, which tend to be drawers positioned under the bed, but can be of the Ottoman variety which is a large upward springing lid.

Bedsteads

Consider a bedstead as a piece of furniture, into which a mattress is placed. Your choice of bedstead reflects your lifestyle and taste and will be the centre-piece of your bedroom showing off beautiful floorboards or carpeting.

Watch out for knocks and bruises on toes and legs from the hard surfaces of bedsteads. Accidents do happen especially with little ones seeking to achieve the thrill of a trampoline in your bedroom!
